A Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request was sent to East Tennessee State University regarding the list of all students admitted for the 2024-25 school year on December 12, 2024.

As part of our ongoing commitment to provide comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, we at Volunteer State News requested this information under the Tennessee Open Records Act, §10-7-503 et seq. The request specifically asked for an electronic format list that includes each student's name, home zip code or hometown, and the name of their graduated high school.
