The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) has released its lane closure report for Middle Tennessee, covering the period from February 20 to February 26, 2025. The report outlines various roadworks across several counties, with closures scheduled mainly during nighttime hours to minimize disruption.

In Davidson County, work on I-24 includes sign replacement and sensor installation, with lane closures occurring nightly between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. SmartWay Intelligent Transportation Maintenance will also necessitate double and triple right lane closures on specific dates for sensor replacements.

Rutherford County's I-24 will see alternating lane closures for resurfacing near the Stones River to east of the CSXT Railroad. Survey and drainage operations are planned in both Rutherford and Davidson Counties, requiring double inside lane closures nightly.

In Humphreys County on I-40, SmartWay maintenance will involve temporary right lane closures for fiber installation. Bridge repairs over Squeeze Bottom Road and Buffalo River Bridge will also cause temporary lane closures.

Davidson County's I-40 will undergo multiple maintenance activities including sensor replacements and bridge repairs over the Harpeth River. A significant repair project at the 12th Avenue Bridge will require a single lane closure westbound under 12th Avenue.

Blasting activities are scheduled in Wilson County along I-40 between I-840 and HWY 231, with rolling roadblocks planned daily at 11 a.m.

Survey and drainage operations will affect both Davidson County's SR 1 and SR 6 with daily lane closures for various maintenance tasks. Pavement repairs are also ongoing in several areas within Davidson County.

Motorists are advised to exercise caution and adhere to reduced speed limits within all TDOT work zones. "Most work is weather dependent," notes TDOT, adding that schedules may change due to adverse conditions. Drivers are reminded: "Know Before You Go!" by checking travel conditions prior to departure, avoiding distractions such as tweeting or texting while driving.
