FOIA Request to Lipscomb University Regarding List of Admitted Students for 2024-25 School Year on December 12, 2024.
As part of our ongoing commitment to provide comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, we at Volunteer State News have sent a request under the Tennessee Open Records Act, §10-7-503 et seq., to Lipscomb University. The request is for a list of names of all students admitted to the school for the 2024-25 school year.
The requested information includes the following fields: Student Name, Home Zip/Hometown, and Graduated High School Name. We believe that access to public records is essential in fulfilling our professional responsibilities which include holding public institutions accountable and providing transparency to the public.
As a media organization, we consider ourselves eligible for a fee waiver as per our role in disseminating information. We are eagerly awaiting a response from Lipscomb University and will keep our readers updated on any developments regarding this request.
