Tennessee Wesleyan University Men's Lacrosse voted Fourth in AAC Preseason Poll | Tennessee Wesleyan University

The Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) announced the Men's Lacrosse Coaches' Preseason Poll on Thursday. Tennessee Wesleyan was voted to finish fourth in the chase for the men's lacrosse title.

 

The poll is voted on by the coaches in the conference.

Reinhardt University, winners of the previous six AAC Tournaments and five NAIA National Championships, took all the first-place votes in finishing first in the poll with 81 voting points. University of the Cumberlands finished second in the poll by getting 66 voting points and Keiser University was fourth with 63 voting points. TWU earned fourth place with 55 voting points while Webber International University rounded out the top five with 50 voting points.

In 2022, 14-4 overall record and a 7-1 conference (a forfeit win was retroactively added to the Bulldogs 2022 record), the most overall and conference wins in program history. TWU was also the 2022 Co-AAC Regular Season Champions, the program's first-ever conference title. The team qualified for the NAIA National Invitational Tournament, the first time the program has ever qualified for a national tournament, and finished the season with the program's highest ranking ever at No. 5. 

The first regular season game for the Bulldogs is on Feb. 4.

The top six teams in the standings at the end of the season qualify for the AAC Tournament. The tournament is set for April 21-22 and April 28-29.
