The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) has announced lane closures across Middle Tennessee for the week of January 30 to February 5, 2025. The closures are part of ongoing maintenance and construction projects on major highways and state routes.
In Davidson County, I-24 will experience nightly alternating lane and ramp closures from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. for resurfacing work between I-440 and Haywood Lane. Similarly, survey, drilling, and drainage operations will lead to inside lane closures on I-24 in both directions between mile markers 52 and 71.
Rutherford County's section of I-24 will see nightly paving activities requiring alternating lane closures from the Stones River to east of the CSXT Railroad. Additionally, improvements at the off-ramp on I-24 at US-231 will necessitate barrier wall movement.
Humphreys County's I-40 bridges over Squeeze Bottom Road and Buffalo River Bridge will undergo repairs with temporary lane closures each night from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m., ensuring one lane remains open at all times.
Davidson County's portion of I-40 is undergoing extensive work including grading, drainage, bridge construction, retaining walls, and paving at the Donelson Pike interchange. This results in daily rolling roadblocks for blasting activities as well as nightly multiple lane closures for bridge work.
Wilson County's segment of I-40 will have daily rolling roadblocks due to blasting activities between ramps at mile markers 235 and 238. An aerial fiber installation is scheduled for February 2nd from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m., causing additional roadblocks.
In Williamson County along I-65 southbound near the off-ramp to I-840, milling and paving operations are planned from February 3rd through February 5th during daytime hours.
Additional projects include streetlight conversions on Davidson County’s I-65 ramp Exit 88; milling and paving on Williamson County’s section of I-840; aerial TVA installations in Wilson County; various bridge constructions across Cheatham, Dickson, Montgomery counties; intersection improvements in Sumner county; pothole patching throughout several counties including Wilson county; among others.
