Drivers in Hamilton County, Tennessee, should be prepared for traffic changes on US 27 due to maintenance work. Tonight from 10:00 pm to 1:00 am ET, the Tennessee Department of Transportation will close the US 27 South ramp to Broad Street and the outside lane of the US 27 ramp to I-24 East for attenuator repairs. I-24 East traffic will not be affected.

The department advises motorists to stay informed about travel conditions before starting their journey by using available information tools. Drivers are reminded not to use cell phones while driving. For updates on construction activity, visit the TDOT SmartWay Map or call 511 for statewide travel information.
Tennessee's Move Over Law, enacted in 2006, mandates moving over for emergency vehicles and carries penalties of up to 30 days in jail and a maximum fine of $500 for violations.
