The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) has announced lane closures for various construction and maintenance projects in Middle Tennessee, scheduled from January 23 to January 29, 2025. These projects include resurfacing, bridge repairs, grading, drainage improvements, and more.

In Davidson County on I-24, nightly lane and ramp closures will occur for striping between I-440 and Haywood Lane. Similarly, survey and drainage operations will cause inside lane closures on I-24 in both directions from MM 52 to MM 71.

Rutherford County will see paving activities on I-24 between the Stones River and east of the CSXT Railroad with alternating lane closures. Off-ramp improvements at US-231 will also result in lane closures to move barrier walls.

Humphreys County's I-40 bridges over Squeeze Bottom Road and Buffalo River Bridge are undergoing repairs requiring temporary lane closures. In Davidson County, bridge work on I-40 at the Donelson Pike interchange involves daily rolling roadblocks for blasting as well as nightly double and triple lane closures.

Wilson County's projects include a rolling roadblock for blasting on I-40 between the I-840 and US-231 ramps. Upcoming aerial fiber installations are planned with similar roadblocks.

Streetlight conversions on Davidson County's I-65 ramp Exit 88 to I-24 require nightly lane closures. Robertson County will have temporary northbound off-ramp closure at SR 109 for lighting installation.

Cheatham County is reconstructing a concrete box beam bridge on SR 249 over Dry Creek with traffic controlled by signals due to single-lane reduction. Various street upgrades continue across Davidson County including ADA curb ramp upgrades along SR 1 and SR 12, intersection improvements on SR 45, and widening of US 31A (SR 11).

Additional projects in Dickson, Montgomery, Rutherford, Sumner, and Williamson Counties involve bridge constructions, intersection enhancements, paving operations among others with intermittent or periodic flagging operations during daytime hours.

Motorists are advised to exercise caution within TDOT work zones irrespective of ongoing activities. Weather conditions may affect schedules; thus travelers should check updates via TNSmartWay.com/Traffic or dial 511 for information before traveling.
