Motorists in East Tennessee should prepare for various construction projects and road closures during the week of March 6-12, 2025. In Anderson County, lane closures are possible on SR 95 Oak Ridge Turnpike near Bradley Avenue from March 10 to March 14 between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. as crews conduct roadside work.

In Blount County, SR 162 Pellissippi Parkway is reduced to one lane due to bridge work, with potential rolling roadblocks for blasting operations between Cusick Road and SR 33. Similarly, the SR 334 bridge over CSX Railroad will experience lane closures for repairs.

Campbell County will see nightly lane closures on I-75 between Mile Markers 156 and 161 from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m., while SR 63 faces temporary lane closures at different sections due to ongoing construction.

Carter County has closed US 321/SR 67 Bridge over the Doe River due to storm damage, requiring large trucks to seek alternate routes. Other sections like US 321/SR 159 also remain closed because of similar damages.

In Cocke County, I-40 East is reduced to one lane from Mile Marker 446 in Tennessee to Mile Marker 7 in North Carolina. Wide loads are advised to detour via I-81 North and I-77 South. Additionally, truck traffic is prohibited on US 25/70 in North Carolina between the Tennessee State Line and Hot Springs.

Various other counties including Grainger, Greene, Hamblen, Hawkins, Jefferson, Johnson, Knox, Monroe, Morgan, Sullivan, Unicoi, Union, and Washington have active construction zones with possible lane closures and altered traffic patterns.

For updates on road conditions or travel information across Tennessee's interstates and highways affected by these projects or storm damages, motorists can visit the Tennessee Department of Transportation SmartWay website or follow their Twitter accounts for real-time updates.
