Drivers on Interstate 24 in Hamilton County, Tennessee, should prepare for temporary traffic disruptions due to road construction. The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) will close the I-24 East exit ramp to Germantown Road (Exit 183) as part of Phase 2 to widen and improve the I-75 at I-24 interchange. Additionally, I-24 East will be reduced to one lane from mile marker 181 to mile marker 184 for lane striping work. This construction is scheduled for tonight only, from 9:00 pm to 6:00 am ET. I-24 West will remain unaffected.
