FOIA Request to Visible Music College Regarding Student Admission List for 2024-25 on December 12, 2024.
We at Volunteer State News, a media organization dedicated to providing comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, have submitted a request under the Tennessee Open Records Act, §10-7-503 et seq., for records from Visible Music College.
The requested records include a list of all students admitted to the school for the academic year of 2024-25. The specific fields requested in this list are: Student Name, Home Zip/Hometown, and Graduated High School Name.
As a media organization, we play an integral role in gathering and reporting news to the public. Access to public records is crucial for us to fulfill our professional responsibilities which include holding public institutions accountable and providing transparency to the public. We believe that given our role in disseminating information, we are eligible for a fee waiver as a media professional.
