Lincoln Memorial University Men’s Soccer Takes Down Bulldogs

The Railsplitters (2-1-1) traveled to Jackson, Tennessee to take on the Union University Bulldogs on Saturday evening to travel back to Harrogate victorious 3-1.

Freshman Harry Cooke got the Railsplitters going with a goal off a penalty kick with just 12 minutes into the game.  Later, Cooke would go and score again with an assist from Hunter Stroble making the game 2-0 in the first half.

The Bulldogs were not going down without a fight in the second half before LMU's Alex McNally got himself a goal at 56:51 with the assist from Hunter Stroble, giving him 2.  Union got themselves on the board at 66:28 with a goal by Niklas Heuermann, but it was not enough to keep up with the Railsplitters.

Harry Cooke led the team with 5 shots and 2 goals.

Hunter Stroble led the team with 2 assists.
