Tennessee track and field announced on May 8 that it has added the Lee University Last Chance Meet in Cleveland, Tennessee, to its schedule for the 2026 outdoor regular season. Four athletes will compete at the event on Saturday as they seek to secure qualifying marks for the NCAA postseason.
The team said that sprinters T’Mars McCallum and Traunard Folson are entered in the men’s 100-meter dash, with McCallum also competing in the 200-meter race. Grant Campbell is set to participate in the men’s high jump, while Mya Strahm will take part in the women’s pole vault. Live results from the meet will be available through XpressTiming.
In recent competition, Tennessee participated in four meets last weekend where several school records were broken over three days. Igor Olaru achieved a throw of 73.05 meters (239-8) in the men’s hammer and Cedricka Williams recorded a mark of 60.76 meters (199-4) in women’s discus at the Jim Green Invitational held in Lexington, Kentucky. Amelia Wills set a new program record with a time of 9:52.51 in the women’s 3,000-meter steeplechase at Duke Twilight in Durham, North Carolina. These performances ranked among the top eight nationally during this outdoor season.
According to an update from U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association national rating index, Tennessee’s Lady Vols rose one spot to No. 14 while Vols dropped one spot to No. 7 nationally this week; both programs remain among only ten schools with both men’s and women’s teams ranked inside America’s top fifteen.
Additionally, Tennessee currently holds top national event squad rankings for both men’s pole vault—with an average mark of 5.60 meters (18-4½)—and men’s 400-meter hurdles—averaging a time of 50.29 seconds among their leading performers.
Looking ahead, Tennessee will prepare for postseason competition at Auburn University when it hosts the SEC Outdoor Championships from May 14 through May 16.
