The Tennessee Lady Volunteers softball team will host the University of Georgia in the Knoxville Super Regional, with a spot in the 2026 Women’s College World Series on the line, according to a May 20 announcement.
This series is significant as Tennessee seeks its tenth trip to Oklahoma City and third appearance in four seasons. The matchup between seventh-seeded Tennessee (45-10) and tenth-seeded Georgia will take place at Sherri Parker Lee Stadium.
Limited walkup tickets are available at the stadium ticket office when gates open one hour before each day’s first game. Fans are reminded that Tennessee Athletics’ clear bag policy will be enforced. Attendees are encouraged to review gameday policies on the Tennessee softball gameday information page before arriving at Sherri Parker Lee Stadium.
The best-of-three series is scheduled from Thursday through Saturday, if necessary. Game one is set for Thursday, May 21 at 7:00 p.m., followed by game two on Friday, May 22 at 3:00 p.m., both airing on ESPN2. If a third game is needed, it will be played Saturday, May 23 at 11:00 a.m. on ESPN.
Parking near Sherri Parker Lee Stadium is limited due to ongoing improvements for this season. Free parking options include Lot CR25 south of Regal Soccer Stadium and along Stephenson Drive until capacity is reached; additional free parking and shuttle service are available from Lot CC1 and G7 Garage as needed. ADA shuttles will also operate from Ag Campus lots to assist fans with disabilities.
Tennessee has now advanced to four consecutive Super Regionals for only the second time in program history (previously achieved from 2012-2015), marking its first streak of hosting four straight Super Regionals. The Lady Vols have appeared in the NCAA Tournament twenty-two times and hold a postseason record of 101-51.
Georgia enters under head coach Tony Baldwin (204-93) with a season record of 41-18. In their all-time series, Tennessee leads Georgia overall (48-41), including matchups played both in Knoxville (21-19) and Athens (22-20). Their most recent meeting resulted in a Tennessee victory, winning 5-2 on March 9, 2025.
