The LOC men’s basketball team saw their 2nd half rally fall just short as three point attempts by Brandon Mason and Gjerard Wilson missed as time expired.

The Magicians trailed 39-28 at halftime and would fall behind by as many as 17 points in the second half. The Magicians shot just %24 from the field in the first half and the cold shooting would last deep until the second half. With about 7 minutes left something clicked for the Magicians, who would tie the game with 33 seconds remaining in play. With 14 seconds remaining in the ball game, the team would look to force overtime. Savannah State would come up with one last stop to seal their 65-62 victory.

Junior guard Brandon Mason led the Magicians in scoring with 18 points off the bench. Sophomore forward Micah Evans was also in double figures with 10points

The Magicians will take the floor again Saturday January 9th, where they will host Miles College. The game is scheduled for 7:30pm.
