On December 24, 2022; Correctional Officers were alerted to an medical emergency in the female maximum cell block. Officers immediately responded to the cell block and discovered a unconscious, unresponsive 29 year old female inmate. Officers administered per protocol Narcan and began CPR. The on-staff nurse also responded and Jefferson County EMS. The inmate was transported to Jefferson Memorial ER where a pulse was restored, and she made a full recovery. We recognize the following officers for their Life Saving actions on Christmas Eve.
