Introducing to the citizens of Anderson County, 911 Communications Officer  Misty Byrge! She has served as a 911 Emergency dispatcher for 20 years. Of those, 19 have been with the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office’s 911 Dispatch Center. 

Misty is certified by Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials (APCO) in Basic Telecommunications, Active Shooter, CPR, EMS & Fire, as a Emergency Medical Dispatcher (EMD), National Incident Management System (NIMS) and as a member of the Crisis Intervention Team (CIT), just name a few. Her years of experience and training make her one of the best in the state. 

“Misty is invaluable to us. She is the calm during the storm. Regardless if it’s a medical emergency or an active violent crime, she instantly knows what to do. She has help countless people through incredibly overwhelming and emotional circumstances and Anderson County is safer because of her”.
